I've loved this fabric for as long as I've known about it...I first remember seeing it years ago while honeymooning in Mexico.
At the hotel spa and bar I was served drinks on these lovely coasters. I became a bit obsessed and had to have some of my own. (I hadn't noticed them in the states then but they probably existed somewhere). Fortunately, the concierge at the hotel was nice enough to track them down for me - they were from an interior design store in town and I quickly went for a visit. I swooped up bunches and a pretty large fabric piece that I still haven't made into anything yet. I always thought I'd frame it but now I'm thinking pillows. My only regret...not buying everything in the shop!
What I didn't imagine then (and what I'm totally in love with now) is the increasing use of this fabric as coverlets in the bedroom.
This color is so amazing and adds a nice touch of funk to an otherwise classic room.
If you are completely committed you could upholster a headboard.
The pillow idea.
I'm completely smitten over this kids room. I was in the midst of doing this post when I noticed Andrika over at Nursery Notations had just covered the same topic. Pop over there for some more inspiration - it's where I found this image. Such a happy room for the littlest member of the family.
Happy Weekend Everyone!

Oh I love this fabric too! It's so pretty...love the headboard! What a statement. If you like these fabrics, Target has upholstered chairs that are in a similar print...here's a link: http://bit.ly/bV6eH3
Have a great weekend!
I love immediate gratification. Even a neutral room with a pop of an Otomi coverlet or a headboard, the setting and the mood quickly adds a sense of fun and stylish flair.

I'm a sucker for that Anthro bed and the color-coded books in the last room....I don't know why I love books organized like that so much.
Have a great weekend!
I absolutely love the bedroom in the third picture. So serene and peaceful. Beautiful images.

Me too! I love Otomi coverlets. I even ordered one from Ebay a year ago but it showed up in a hideous neon color and thankfully I was able to return it. i am going to have to get brave and order another one!!
I have one of these cloths and it's in bright lavender & beautiful. My best friend brought it to me several years ago from Mexico. Wish she had brought me one in every color. I use it for table cloth, throw on back of sofa, foot of bed. Love it. Great post.
Um, swoon :) These are stunning pieces, I can see why you fell in love! xx
The headboard the linens, its all so indulgent! I'm loving this as well :) I was mesmerized this week, as Pier 1 had so many beautiful pillows with this beautiful art of Mexican Embroidery. I wanted them all!!!
