Triple Crown: Equestrian Style for the Home

It’s that time of year again – all you horse lovers everywhere rejoice!
It's the start of the Triple Crown with the Kentucky Derby leading us out the gate.  Elle Decor has a timely piece on this beautiful, 100+ year old horse barn that underwent major renovations for today's living.  (click here to see full story and more images)
I'm obsessed with this dining room - one could host some serious soirees in this space!

This study/family room is a the old hayloft - it perfectly balances open and airy with comfortable and cozy.

My favorite room is this this bedroom - in no small part because of the amazing twig bed. This is certainly going in my files for my one day lake home.

On the subject of bedrooms - Serena & Lily incorporates the horseshoe on a couple of its great linens.
This 100% cotton quilt would be perfect in a boy's room. I love the contrast stitching around the edge.

This horseshoe sheeting fabric in butterscotch with white is also available in a reverse color-way.  You can customize any bed linens in this fabric (sheets, bedskirts, pillows, etc.) through The Shop.

Heading to a Kentucky Derby, Belmont or Preakness party and trying to think of the perfect hostess gift? These three gifts are sure bets and fit a variety of budgets:

These horseshoe soaps are a staple at the shop and perfect for the host who loves horses!  They have the most amazing almond scent!  Available at Gramercy (not on website yet but call the shop and we can help you out).

Equestrian Style. A well-edited collection of beautiful homes and rooms.  It's the perfect gift with a nice note to the hostess on the front page. Available at Gramercy (not on website yet but call the shop and we can help you out)

I came across these embossed, leather coasters with real horseshoes at Gumps

Now, my next mission, finding a fancy hat for a Kentucky Derby party tomorrow.  Oops! I'll be a busy girl tomorrow morning.  Do any of you  have fun plans for the Triple Crown season?  Send pics if you get "all done up" and have fun!

What's Next:? Madeline Weinrib Wallpaper!

Madeline introduces her first wallpaper through Studio Printworks- Allemande.

The woman known for covering the floors, furniture and pillows of designphile's across the globe is now adding a new surface - the wall.   This gorgeous print, titled Allemande, is the designers first foray into wall coverings.  Wouldn't this look amazing in a powder room?  I'm a huge fan of large-scale prints in small, intimate spaces.  Allemande is a popular dance form in Baroque music consisting of stately and flowing steps.  This pattern is certainly stately and flowing.  I can't wait to see what she does next...

The Gramercy Girls love us some Madeline as much as we do a Monogram and Matouk!

We can order any Madeline Weinrib products and we have lots of samples at the shop. (Click here to see previous Madeline post).  Below are a few of the newer patterns in the collection:

Lulu in Pink & Orange - Fabulous in a Foyer

Ming in Light Blue - Coco would have had to have one of these in her Parisian flat.

Jacqueline in Periwinkle - Precious in a little girls room!

What's next for Ms. Madeline?  The only room surface she hasn't touched is the ceiling -- hmmm -- could we have lighting from MW in the future?

Thank You! Pink Wallpaper

Imagine my excitement when I saw Jenny's nursery picture featured on on of my favorite blogs - Pink Wallpaper - Thank you Shannon! Jenny is pleased as punch that her pink paradise is appreciated by so many of you out there. It's a bold look but if your babe can handle it - I say "go for it!" (Click Here to see the rest of the nursery)

I also mentioned weeks ago that Sara at the shop has a little side business going on with the most adorable painted furniture and art pieces. Jenny commissioned Sara to do something for Baby B's nursery and look how perfect these chairs and table work....

Same flower as the Hable pillow on the glider - and the pattern on the table mimics the Madeline rug. So fun!

You can find some of Sara's other things on her Etsy shop, Bed & Bungalow, which she just launched. She works on commission pieces all the time so if there is something you want done for your kiddo (or you) she is certainly a great source!

It's here...Gramercy's on-line shop!

At last - Gramercy has an on-line shop to better help you peruse our collection of linens, gifts and furnishings. We offer a great sampling of our items on the site but have lots and lots more available through the shop. If you are outside of the Atlanta area - don't fret - we will be adding new products daily. Please let us know if you are searching for something particular - we will help you find just the right thing.

Also, let us know what you think - we'd love feedback on the site as we will continually work to make your online shopping experience with Gramercy stellar!

Trunk Show: Honeybee Collection

Tuesday, April 20th
10 am - 6 pm
at Gramercy Home
Peachtree Battle Shopping Center
2351 A Peachtree Road, NE
Atlanta GA 30305

How sweet it is to have our favorite jewelry guru back to the shop! Stop by Gramercy tomorrow to see us and meet Ashley of Honeybee Collection - she has a fabulous collection of affordable, fine jewelry (no that's not an oxymoron) including an amazing selection of Elizabeth Showers jewelry. All the girls at the shop have been collecting her baubles for the past couple years and always get rave compliments when we wear them. (Click here to read the post from our last trunk show).

I was excited to see few of Honeybee's new items like this mommy pendant - how adorable is this? You can have your children's names engraved on the front with the birth dates on the back. Love the simplicity and sentiment. Moms, start dropping the hints to your family....

I also can't stop pining for this phenomenal piece - the perfect accessory alone or a in a pair to add some oomph to your outfit. This cuff is surrounded with six different semi-precious gemstones.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
And, we are still launching our on-line shop - later today or tomorrow. I will keep you "posted!"

It's the Final Countdown...

Oh, how I wish I could have theme music playing right now. I so often have music playing in my head to things going on throughout the day. But, I digress...
It's almost here - you've waited; we've worked; and, at last we can all rejoice - Gramercy's online shop!!!
In case you've been wondering where I've been I haven't forgotten you dear readers. We've been working hard to put the finishing touches on our website and will have it launched in the next 10 days - are you ready?!?!? We sure are!

Atlanta at its best...
The most perfect shades of pink are found in nature. I just want to capture this feeling in a room. I've notice a lot of designers using pink - either in soft tones as a neutral for walls or bright accents. Pink can certainly be sophisticated and I'm glad it's making its way back out of the little girls room. I would have the biggest smile on my face every day if my foyer were painted like this one from Jonathan Berger:
Of course, the color still works well in a girls room. Amanda Nisbitt did a fabulous job for some lucky little lady. I think I spy a hint of pink in the ceiling paint - Love it!

And, Alessandra Branca keeps it calmer with soothing shades of pink, peach and coral.
What are some of your favorite pink rooms?
