Amanda Nisbet Loves Lavender in the Bedroom

I recently posted about a Long Island home designed by Amanda Nisbet that featured an inspiring mix of color and texture.  My favorite element, however, was the use of lavender in the master bedroom.  I am always drawn to her bedrooms and I finally figured out why - Amanda frequently uses this lovely shade of lavender in the boudoir.  The velvet bed (above) looks so great paired with different shades of blue.
A classic look in a soothing hue.

A very familiar room that was all over the blogosphere a while ago.

A contemporary twist.

The bright colors of this room are grounded by the linen headboard, soft rug, and natural-luxe accessories.

Which one is your favorite?

A love a pop of purple in the bedroom! The last room is my favorite! The combination of purple and green is so unexpected, but I love it!

I love the first bedroom... I love the rich and yummy bed! Lavender wouldn't have been a go-to color for me- but these spaces have my head spinning. The common thread is shades of purple and I am LOVING it! Thanks for sharing!

I love the first one. I have never considered purple before but it really is a beautiful color. I think I will use it in my next project.

Thank you for the inspiring pictures.
