I have buyers remorse. I have a sofa very similar to this one. I was persuaded to purchase this style after reading/hearing so many positives about how perfect these sofas are because they are so easy to take care of....just simply throw the cushion covers in the wash and they are great with kids, pets, etc. Well, I am clearly way lazier than the majority of people. I think the whole cleaning of the covers is a pain in the butt. And, it has to be done often. It's a shame because the look is so pretty, right?
So serene and sophisticated.
More my style. Light, neutral base with lots of color through accent fabrics and accessories.
But, if I were to do it all over again....
I would go darker. No doubt about it. I love the look of the gray sofa but I probably would end up with the trusty and true taupe family...
And then there is my all time favorite bold look. I wish I could pull this off. I'm hoping to be more brave next time I'm changing up my living room decor.
However, this might be the perfect answer and one I could live with long term. This room makes me happy.
Where do you all stand on the sofa front? And, please, if you have a light linen sofa what are your secrets for keeping it perfect.

I just had a conversation about this very subject with a friend and we both lean toward something darker or pattern that would be more forgiving. I love the light clean look of white, but clean is the operative word and if it got dirty too quickly then I would not be a happy camper, kathysue
That's a really great question and I'm so happy you brought it up. I'm constantly wondering if I should go for all-white bedding, or a very light slipped couch, but I really don't know if it would work out. I honestly don't WANT to have to wash slipcovers (complete with ironing) every few weeks. No thanks.
I belong to the white slipcover club and have for about 10 years. With a messy guy and a dog with muddy paws. I can't imagine living without it anymore. I love being able to remove a cushion cover when runaway pepperoni lands on it and have it come out good as new. It's really just the seat covers that need the most frequent washing (I keep a folded throw on the arm which helps protect it from dirt) and if you take them out of the dryer while still damp and put them back on, you can pretty much smooth out any wrinkles without needing to iron. I just ordered a linen sofa and plan on making a slipcover for it when it arrives just for backup. :)
i actually just had my white sofa (with removeable, washable slipcovers) delivered on monday! i have a 2 year old little boy (read: CRAZY MESSY) and plan to buy a queen coverlet from target to keep over it when he's awake, then take it off when he goes to bed. sort of a pain, but then again...i hate laundry.
I feel your pain...we have an off-white sofa. I have to wash the covers quite a bit to keep them looking good and it's HARD! I have a great giveaway today from Dana Gibson..check it out if you have a sec www.brilliantchic.com
