Bedrooms: Neutral vs. Bright

Some of you (the ones that over-enjoyed the celebration last night), may still be in bed... Thought it an appropriate day to focus on our favorite room - the bedroom - and the preference of a neutral setting vs. a bright and colorful room.

Option 1:  White bedding with black accent tape or embroidery.
The interest in this room is in the detail of the linens (scalloped shams) and subtle textures.  The cool gray hue is a great pairing with white and black, which helps keep the color combo fresh.

Similar concept of bedding (white with black embroidery) but all the details are in the colored accessories.  This type of room is great for the person who loves color but wants to change the color palette on a whim.

Option 2:  Tufting.
The neutral version is packed with tons of tufting which really stands out in the otherwise, all white space.  Love the madeline rug in a soft hue (not what you typically think of with madeline).

Similar style but brightened up in bold yellow and varying patterns.

Option 3:  Winged back headboard with all white bedding.

True calm in the crisp white linens, soft white and gray walls and curtains and subtle gray bed.

Similar bed and linens but with chartreuse linen headboard and lots of turquoise!

What type of bedroom personality do you have?  Bold and Bright or Soft and Subtle???
