This room makes me sooooo happy. Gorgeous deep blue walls balanced by the light sofa and touches of orange. I'm also pretty obsessed with the art trend of water photos. This room almost has a "yachty" vibe but not in a cheesy thematic way.
I feel like I've been seeing a lot more images of beds that have a more "beadspread" feel, than a fluffy duvet feel. A sort of updated beadspread for the new century.
For those not needing the extra warmth, or who like a more layered approach the modern twist on bedspreads is a great option. The bedspread we showcased in the shop (see original post here) got some serious attention so I'm most curious to see how things transition over the next few years.
In honor of Father's Day, I thought I'd feature a bedroom of the week that no man would complain about... It's simple and has a subtle masculinity. In a tight space neutrals can really help open a room. The curtains and headboard are in the same fabric, which draws the eye up. Keeping accessories neutral helps add interest with out overwhelming the space.
Happy Weekend. Make sure to spoil the dad's in your life!!
The Gramercy Girls love a great tabletop. With summer fast upon us it's a great time to go bold with pattern and color, as well as use the gifts that Mother Nature provides us. Of course we think an essential part of a divine tablescape is to include our favorite linen dinner (here) and cocktail (here) napkins. Available in over 101 colors you can certainly find something to work with your scheme.
A few images to get your creative juices flowing!
Orange (clementine?) trees with X boxes add height and interest. The wall color is such a great backdrop for this elegant garden party.
Always fun to mix some seasonal goodies in with your flora.
Eddie Ross is great at incorporating bold, bright patterns into a table setting. This table features one of LULU DK's patterns.
Simple but gorgeous.
A perfect outdoor tea party - always have to have a little pink!
Charlotte Moss effortlessly incorporates pink and teal.
Another gorgeous color combo: purple and turquoise.
For the soirees running into the night, add a chandelier or...several as seen below!
If you are local, come by the shop and let us help you design the perfect pairing!
Before you get too excited, I'm not talking about a sequel to the movie, just a sequel to the home design. Or, should I say 100-quel (whatever that would spell). The home in the movie, Something's Gotta Give, is one of the most copied (inspired) homes the past several years. It's no wonder why!
